November Newsletter

Hi all,

Everyone should have received our November newsletter by now! Here are the updates on what we’ve been busy with since our establishment in August. We’re so happy to be officially up and running and sharing our latest news with you.

Our Clean Up Day 🚮
Our first community event was a fantastic success! Residents turned out in great numbers, armed with high vis vests and litter pickers, ready to tidy up our neighbourhood. Together, we collected 10 bags of rubbish, focusing on the field, Rosemount Court and Rosemount Estate. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our community shine!

🚶🚶‍♀️ Pedestrian Crossing
Thanks to the lobbying efforts of the Rosemount Community Group, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has installed a new zebra crossing between the field and Rosemount Estate. This is a welcome safety improvement, helping pedestrians cross safely while encouraging drivers to slow down. It’s the first of several measures we’re seeking to make our area safer for everyone.

Halloween Event
Our Halloween event on 31st October was a spooktacular success! 🎃👻

Thanks to all our volunteers who created decorations, organised games and kept everything running smoothly. A special thanks to our sponsors, Lynam’s Fine Foods and SuperValu Churchtown, for providing the delicious treats that everyone enjoyed.

Other News
We are pleased to be working with our local councillors on community improvement projects. With Councillor Michael Fleming’s support, the planters in Rosemount Court and Way have been tidied and with Councillor Peter O’Brien’s help, the shrubbery in Magenta Terrace has been cut back and refreshed. 🌱

In the coming weeks, we will also be planting bulbs around the area to brighten up Rosemount in spring. 🌸🌷🌺 If you would like to get involved, please do let us know.

Membership Fees
Annual membership is €20 per household. Funds go directly towards supporting local events, maintaining green spaces (bulbs, planters) and community activities for all. It’s time to make Rosemount beautiful again and bring back that wonderful sense of community, please join and support us.

💶 Cash: Drop your €20 fee in an envelope with your name and address into one of the following committee member households:
