One of the biggest issues raised since Rosemount Community Group was established is the parking on the field at Rosemount Green. The parking had become dangerous and was also destroying the grass.
Back in December we met and raised this issue with the Parks Department in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, who kindly agreed to install these lovely trees. Bollards will also be erected at the footpath entrances to the field to prevent parking on the field.
Our friends in RMFC are also encouraging teams to carpool where possible. Rosemount Community Group are continuing to work behind the scenes to ensure further parking control measures are put in place, including double yellow lines and additional bollards throughout the area. This will allow for better enforcement on match days by An Garda Síochána and DLR parking wardens.
There will always be people who take chances and park dangerously. It’s important that you help us support the community by reporting these instances to An Garda Síochána and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
By working together as a community, we can show that dangerous or inconsiderate parking, such as blocking footpaths, will not be tolerated.
